Paragould. It's One of a Kind.
The only city in the United States to bear the name, Paragould prizes its uniqueness. A thriving small city, it marries an historic industrial tradition and a strong education heritage into an attractive location for growing a company, a community, a lifestyle.
Industry came to Paragould with the advent of the railroads in the late 19th century, and it remains one of the strongest manufacturing centers in Arkansas with more than 6,000 of its workforce employed in one of the city's many manufacturing operations. Those operations produce everything from rail cars to shock absorbers to retail display fixtures to plastics, all thriving on the strong Northeast Arkansas work ethic.
The Economic Development Corporation of Paragould partners with City of Paragould; City of Marmaduke; Greene County; Arkansas Methodist Medical Center; Paragould Light, Water and Cable; and the Paragould Regional Chamber of Commerce to ensure business has all it needs in the areas of land, buildings, infrastructure, public services and workforce training.
The community is part of Northeast Arkansas, located at the junction of U.S. Highways 49 and 412, 90 miles from Memphis, Tennessee. It's located on the Union Pacific Railway's main line, has a municipal airport, and is 55 miles from the Pemiscot Port on the Mississippi River. Industrial sites are available from 5 to 120 acres, and office/retail locations from 1,500 square feet up.
