1. Step right up at the Greene County Fair
The Greene County fair is an annual event that brings together the local community to celebrate the region's rich agricultural heritage and culture. Spanning September 4-9, the fair offers a diverse range of activities and attractions that cater to people of all ages. From thrilling amusement rides to livestock exhibitions and fair foods, attendees can enjoy a sense of community and create lasting memories with family and friends. For more information, visit here.

2. Educate yourself on health and wellness.
This season offers several excellent opportunities to take account of your health. On September 7, join Arkansas Methodist Medical Center at the Men’s Health Fair from 6AM-2PM. This event offers free medical screenings as well as informational booths that educate participants about various health related issues and topics. For more information, visit here.
On September 18 from 6-8:30PM, join the Paragould Fire Department and gain vital CPR skills to respond confidently and effectively in emergencies. This free class trains participants in how to perform CPR on adults, children, and infants and gain knowledge to recognize cardiac arrest. Spaces are limited, so secure your spot by calling 870-239-7525 or emailing brian.brown@paragouldcity.org.
On September 28, AMMC will be hosting a Community Diabetes Event. Learn more about diabetes and how it affects your health. For more information, visit here.
AMMC’s Women’s Health Fair will be on October 5 from 6AM-2PM. Just like the men’s health fair, there will be free medical screenings and people on hand to provide information about various health topics. For more information, visit here.

3. Support local artists at craft fairs!
Mark your calendars and bring your friends and family to Paragould’s Harvest & Holiday Extravaganza on September 16. Head to the Paragould Community Center from 10AM-4PM and shop with 60 vendors specializing in baked goods, handmade items, and more.
If that’s not enough for you, Paragould’s Harvest Craft Show is in its 47th year! Head to the Community Center on October 28 from 10AM-3PM and discover unique treasures that reflect the heart and soul of our artisan community. This event is free to the public.

4. Grab your dancing shoes.
Follow the journey of Ren McCormack as he challenges his town’s ban on dancing. Whether you’re a fan of the iconic movie or just looking to support local actors and actresses, Footloose: The Musical is sure to provide you an enjoyable show. Grab your dancing shoes and head to the Collins Theatre!

5. Attend a Fall Festival.
Paragould Emerging Professionals will host a Fall Festival on September 28 on the Historic Courthouse Lawn from 4-7PM. There will be carnival games and activities, facepainting, balloon artists, and more. Admission is free, so gather your kids and come enjoy the fall festivities!
The Historic Courthouse is located at 300 W. Court Street.
6. Eat on the street.
It’s not everyday Pruett Street is closed so you can eat a catered meal under the Downtown lights! Join Main Street Paragould in their annual fundraiser, Plates on Pruett, to benefit revitalization efforts Downtown on October 5. 7. Celebrate Downtown Paragould.
Get ready to immerse yourself in the vibrant heart of the city, where culture, creativity, and camaraderie come together in a spectacular showcase of all things wonderful! With a dynamic lineup of activities and entertainment, this festival promises an unforgettable experience for all ages. The 7th Annual Get Downtown Festival takes place on October 13 -14. 8. Witness mind-bending tricks and illusions.
Step into a world of wonder and excitement on October 20-21 as the Collins Theatre presents an unforgettable lineup of magicians that will leave you on the edge of your seat. Grab your tickets and invite your friends and family to enter the world of magic.

9. Put on your best costumes for trick or treating.
Calling all little goblins, witches, and monsters! Don’t miss out on two opportunities to celebrate Halloween in a safe and family-friendly environment. First on October 28, head to Downtown Paragould from 6-8PM to trick or treat with downtown businesses. Then on October 31, swing by the Community Center for their annual trick or treat event from 5-7PM. You’re guaranteed to come home with bags full of candy!
10. Lace up your running shoes for a good cause.
On November 4, AMMC will be hosting their 4,000 Steps for Diabetes Glow Run at the Greene County Tech Middle School. Whether you’re a serious runner or supporting the community, the Glow Run will be a fun experience for all participants.
